This autumn’s 2011 Busan International Food Expo, co-hosted by Busan Metropolitan City and Korea Restaurant Association Busan Branch, is presenting its second story of the globalization of Korean food.
Food symbolizes its country’s culture and identity. Recently, Korean food has become popular internationally for its unique taste, fascinating appearance, and attraction as a health food.
The 2011 BIFE, with the object of introducing the excellence of Korean food, is going to be the chance for Busan to stimulate the tourism industry and to transform into a international hub-city through the promotion of Korean culture.
Besides, the expo will contain the World Food Culture Zone – to introduce and showcase world’s exotic food culture, and I hope the BIFE will become the area in which every visitor will meet and communicate.
For the prosperity of the BIFE as a lively, world-wide food expo representing Busan, your active participation and strong interest in the expo would be highly appreciated.
